What Participants Say
Our Validation Approach
We use a mixed-methods approach: qualitative participant feedback collected through structured post-session surveys, facilitator observation logs, and NGO partner reporting. On the quantitative side, we track participation, session completion, and every artwork created, documented in real time on our platform.
Why This Matters to Institutions
Built for Institutions
Our documentation and outcomes data are designed to meet the standards that healthcare institutions and recovery centers expect.
Measurable Outcomes
We track participant self-reporting, facilitator observations, and every session and artwork across the programs we run.
Replicability
Our structured methodology is built to produce consistent results across different facilitators, populations, and settings.
Case Studies
BOSCO Mane Orphanage, Bengaluru, India
Over nine months, Darash Ahava facilitator Lalithashree Ganesh led weekly Brushstrokes of Emotion® sessions with a group of boys at BOSCO Mane, an orphanage in Bengaluru. The boys, aged 7 to 15, had come from severe trauma, abandonment, and deep poverty. Working toward three goals, awareness of self and others, a sense of belonging, and the ability to express authentically, the group showed significant and sustained growth over the intervention.
The Dementia Care Foundation, Chennai, India
At The Dementia Care Foundation in Chennai, facilitator Lavanya Krishnakumar brought Brushstrokes of Emotion® to elders living with dementia and to children at a summer camp. In a formal letter, the Foundation wrote that the elders had fun together, laughed, and, most importantly, bonded with the children over the simple joy of creating something together.
