A Milestone 300 Sessions in the Making: Three Darash Ahava Facilitators Each Reach 100 Brushstrokes of Emotion® Sessions

In April 2026, the Darash Ahava Foundation marked one of the most significant milestones in its short history: three of its lead program facilitators, each working independently across India and Nepal, simultaneously reached 100 Brushstrokes of Emotion® sessions delivered.

The three facilitators are Lalithashree Ganesh of Bengaluru, India, recently named Director of Brushstrokes of Emotion® India and Nepal; Lavanya Krishnakumar of Chennai, India, whose work with dementia patients earned formal recognition from the Dementia Care Foundation earlier this year; and Neetu Agrawal of Kathmandu, Nepal, who has spent years bringing free healing sessions to abandoned children and students in government-run schools.

Combined, their 300 sessions represent countless moments of healing delivered to some of the most vulnerable people on earth, in communities where structured emotional support has rarely, if ever, existed.

Each woman came to this work through a different path. Ganesh works primarily with children in care homes who have experienced violence, neglect, and generational poverty. Krishnakumar moves between hospitals, shelter homes, dementia wards, and community settings, meeting people wherever they are. Agrawal works with children who have been abandoned by their parents, for whom a Brushstrokes of Emotion® session is often the warmest hour of their week.

Foundation president David Widerhorn marked the occasion with personal letters of recognition and a financial bonus for each facilitator, acknowledging that the numbers behind the milestone only tell part of the story.

"This milestone is a reflection of the sacred care, emotional courage, and unwavering devotion you have brought to every space you have held," shared Widerhorn.
